Portland received 8 inches of snow on Saturday. To illustrate, I took pictures throughout the evening. Now, everyone knows the best way to gauge a storm is by the chicken index.

Geez -- we need a chicken! All we have is about 11 inches of snow covering everything in our yard. We sent the kids for a walk and they came back 15 minutes later in the driving snow carrying a large sheet of ice in the shape of Germany (their interpretation, not mine). Good luck getting to work tomorrow ....
You and your snow. Here Jennifer and I are trying to come see family in scenic Yamhill, and you all ahve to have snow that closes PDX. You've got 30 hours to get rid of it, or we're just not coming.
